Kingman Canyon and the west end of the BNSF Seligman Sub 1/3/2012 Part 2

by Chris Guenzler

As we left Kingman we became Railfans Chasing Trains and chased through Kingman Canyon then out onto Interstate 40 where we exited at Yucca.

Me wearing my Railfans Chasing Trains T-shirt.

The rear of BNSF 4091 East at Yucca. The trains were running ona single track due to a tie replacement project so our BNSF 4028 was stuck there. Since the lighting was not the best, we returned to Interstate 40 to Franconia Road which took us to the BNSF mainline.

BNSF 4028 West at Franconia. We returned to Interstate 40 and exited at Topock.

Today proves that the Santa Fe lives on in 2012 on bridges.

The Colorado River BNSF bridge. From Topock we crossed into California and exited on Park Moabi Road, taking that to the bridge over the BNSF mainline.

BNSF 7260 East at Park Moabi Road.

BNSF 7500 West.

BNSF 7630 West.

BNSF 7857 West. With that train and feeling tired, we returned to our room at the Motel 6 in Needles where finished these next two parts {today's activities} then went to Denny's for dinner before relaxing the rest of the night.
