Here's several pictures of trains and maintenance in the Plover and Stevens Point area of Wisconsin from Autumn 2024 to March 2025.
They put in some re-located ribbon rail north of Plover in 2023, |

.
it's interesting that a railroad hasn't run near Pittsville in a half century,
but this contractor has a hi-rail truck

| Back at the yard in Stevens Point, these locomotives have replaced the SW-1500's that were here 4 years ago. |

| Down in Plover, a GT in the middle of the afternoon |

| The Plover job changes locomotives a bit. |

|
Same day, with just a wider view to see the Plover yard is fairly empty this afternoon, until the evening run to Wisconsin Rapids will fill it up again. |

|
Another day, and here's the Plover job returning from the Stevens Point paper mill and passing over the Plover River, running long nose first. |

|
Last Autumn, I took a canoe ride under the trestle. There's still some floating stumps that have nestled up here for a long time. Also, not shown is a 4 inch tree cross-wise floating across the center of the channel in 2024, blocking it to canoe traffic. I had to pull a few branches away from the very south side to slide the canoe over the blockage. |

| Some of the cross bracing has been knocked off short for years. |

|
Anyway, back to the engine returning to Plover about 2pm at Tommy's Turnpike and the spur to the Rag Mill. |

| Is that a ballast sweeper on a hi-rail backhoe? |

| In Stevens Point on a different day, there's more blue GT's switching the yard. |

And again the Plover job has brought the paper mill cars to Vetters
