Down in Plover, a GT in the middle of the afternoon

The Plover job changes locomotives a bit.

Same day, with just a wider view to see the Plover yard is fairly empty this afternoon, until the evening run to Wisconsin Rapids will fill it up again.

Another day, and here's the Plover job returning from the Stevens Point paper mill and passing over the Plover River, running long nose first.

Last Autumn, I took a canoe ride under the trestle. There's still some floating stumps that have nestled up here for a long time. Also, not shown is a 4 inch tree cross-wise floating across the center of the channel in 2024, blocking it to canoe traffic. I had to pull a few branches away from the very south side to slide the canoe over the blockage.

Some of the cross bracing has been knocked off short for years.

Anyway, back to the engine returning to Plover about 2pm at Tommy's Turnpike and the spur to the Rag Mill.
