July Rail Mail

This 'letter' is just some interesting things I have seen at flea markets and antique shops this summer.

But I didn't purchase any of them yet.

This hat was in a Waupaca shop.

I think it was about some company program at Conrail to save fuel
by shutting down idling locomotives

On our way back from the Princeton flea market, I got a quick picture of the Wautoma depot,
once served by the Chicago and Northwestern.
It was repaired to this state over a dozen years ago,
and nothing else has happened since, except the weeds are growing.

And these painted HO scale (dummy) Soo Line locomotives were in the local hobby shop in Plover.
They are on Athearn dummy frames, but the coupler mounting quality of one is suspect.
I was mighty tempted, since I own a lot of Athearn F-7's and could switch shells.
