Here's the Plover switch engine on a Sunday afternoon in June, 2022,
They are between the morning Stevens Point paper mill run, and the evening work to Wisconsin Rapids.
But wait, there's something red far away in the little siding west of the wye,
undiscernable in this view.
I was traveling light this day, I only had a phone camera and a bicycle.
Looking way back east along the power lines, I see another.
Parked near the west leg of the wye, west of the Jay Mar buildings.
So, this is what happens in Plover during conductor training time. They will all be busy again tomorrow.
Lots of locomotives,
with two parked on a Sunday.
Normally, I would only expect one locomotive for training.
