Stevens Point, Wisconsin; April 19, 2020 This series of pictures is all on the same day, in less than a half hour.
The CN 1556 and CN / WC1565 are near the yard office. |
and 1559 and _ , give it a moment, it's coming in to view
1559 and 1570 (I saw the 1559 in a train, going past the Waupaca depot web cam May 9, westbound, behind 3 big CN loco's. I presume it had it's 90 day servicing and would be coming back to Point?) |
also 1552 and 1566
.
The WC 1560 in Wisconsin Central paint was still around in April. (and it's still at work as of May 7, 2020) And the WC 1564. |
They keep moving around, and finally I could have 4 in one picture. Without a mainline train blocking the view. There's stories that the SW's will be sold or replaced, but I haven't seen that happen yet. |
Many locomotives are near the roundhouse. |
HIding between them is the yellow Pulliam Power Company Alco S2 from the closed coal power plant at Green Bay, on its way to the rail museum at Spooner. |
I saw on Facebook that it was moved by the next day, away from the service racks and into the open.
Bob S got a picture of it. I don't know how to link to a Facebook picture, so I just copied that page so I could get all this information onto one page.
Not a really proper way to do it, but I am glad to see his picture, and because I didn't go back to see it again.
Here's some links to older pictures in its natural habitat:
