June, 2019. These scenes came from 3 different days, but the locations are shown in an order that occurrs every day. The paper mill gets cars every day, including Sundays. This is a stretched distorted dash cam view of the Plover train arriving at Patch Street and waiting to get on the westbound main and cross over to get in to the Stevens Point yard. |
This is an aerial view looking south at the concrete plant; the P-Line is on the upper left of the scene and there's the headlight of a Plover job waiting. |
They get clearance to enter the main and pull west, past the Vetters building. |
And they almost get to the Black Bridge over the Wisconsin River, then come back on the siding. |
Pushing east |
And I didn't pay attention to this before, the tracks are painted MAIN and SIDING. That would be useful on a model railroad to keep track of tracks. |
And going past the Stevens Point depot |
Backing over Division Street, next to the Soo 2713 steam locomotive park. Not the same locomotive as in the previous scene, but as I mentioned, this series of pictures is from 3 different days. |
If they have any non-paper mill traffic, they set it out in the yard, then run around their work and push West, past Vetters, and around the curve to the Stevens Point paper mill.
The track in the foreground is the main line, near the Black Bridge. |
Small view looking east; the paper mill is on the left / North, and Vetters is on the upper right of the scene, and that's near the main line. |
By 2 pm, they will be heading south, back to Plover. |
