May 17, 2019, a Friday morning. A westbound morning train pulls up to the last signals in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. There is a CN, UP, and surprise, the WC 1560, the last SW 1500 in Wisconsin Central paint. (the only other locomotive in WC paint is a GP40 and that was on the CN in Tennessee this month) |
An eastbound stack train comes racing in. The westbound already occupied Water Street crossing, so its safe for the eastbound to roar through town. It's time for me to move away from the tracks, these guys have places to go. I don't know where the WC 1560 is going. But with that age and paint, I wonder when it will be painted into CN, or sold? |
