These pictures were taken in late March, and this snow actually melted. |
I think this train is the Wood Tick, which usually travels from Wisconsin Rapids to northwestern Wisconsin every evening to collect pulpwood
And its a long one this night, they are pulling cars from the tail of the wye by the quarry. |
But some loads are headed north, and I could guess they came down on the Wood Tick in the morning? And might be going north to be set out in Junction City and eventually go to Rothschild? |
And a tank car, which I suspect might end up in the Rothschild paper mill? |
Even some sand hoppers, maybe catching up with some unit train? And lumber cars that should go all the way to Superior and eventually get to Canada? |
