Duluth Ships

We took a 3-day vacation to Duluth, Minnisota. We haven't been there in 16 years.

I titled this page as 'ships' because we saw more than ore boats.

.

Inbound ship schedules are quite predictable by watching the schedule on the Duluth Shipping News web page.
Outbound schedules vary. Some came in for fuel and then went back out to the Lake to anchor and wait for loading at the busy BN ore docks.

The tourists come out when the aerial bridge goes up for a boat.

This is Canal Park on a weekday morning, there's handly any people.
On a warm Sunday afternoon, this place is crowded.
I had one good morning with a wind and some sun to fly the kite and camera.

To the right of the canal is a bronze semi-round building, the Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center

There's hundreds of ship models and information about Duluth and Superior,
I could spend hours there.

I have a hundred pictures of a harbor tour and the salties and a train ride and The Depot, but no time to show anymore this week.
