Plover railroad Switch Engine

Plover railroad Switch Engine

Here's a view of the western part of the wye and little yard in Plover, Wisconsin, USA

Every morning, one GP makes up a train of car loads of kraft and clay and starch to go to the Stevens Point paper mill.

.

.

Penford foods makes starch from something leftover from potato processors in the area.
There is a model hopper labeled Penford, but this plant doesn't load railcars, that I've ever seen.

The white storage tanks in the middle of the wye is Jay Mar agricultural fertilizer.

And Okray Potato is the galvanized gray sheds on the upper left of the picture.

.

And after they build a train on the west wye, which is actually the main line, they pull it north to Point.
In these views with the snow, it was still before Spring.
They are going past the Okray Potato mural.
