It was very interesting on a Tuesday night in Wisconsin Rapids. A big loaded sand train was coming in from the Taylor Subdivision at 7pm. A CN and 2 BNSF locomotives crossing Industrial Street. |
At the yard, the yard job is working in the distance. |
And the sand train comes over the crossing |
And even with all that power, there's a CN DPU on the rear. They set out the BNSF at the wye, and left town with just the lead unit and DPU, which is interesting because they still had to go up the Rudolph hill. |
And now it gets even more interesting. Another eastbound sand train is a few hundred yards behind them, waiting at 25th Avenue. That's a first for me to see 2 sand trains in one evening. |
