Two years ago, there a was windstorm that broke over 300 trees in Stevens Point.
After they cleaned up, there were half as many trees in the Veterans Park by the depot.
So that opened up some space to fly a kite and make room to travel with the string.
Not ideal. Not for beginning kite flyers. Plenty of chances to Charlie Brown a kite.
I picked just the right wind direction, but didn't wait for a less humid hazy day for the camera views.

The Soo 2713 under the shelter.
(I could have waited for a sharper picture, but I didn't take time to capture just this.
On a good one, I should be able to read the time on the clock.)
The north side of the depot. (I have sharper images but not all in one picture like this, if the five people that model the depot would want them.) |

Looking west. There's a real variety in the freight passing through. |

Notice the curve in the track and the switch to the south / west of the depot. Two years ago, the track next to the platform was changed. |
