The Rapid City, Pierre & Eastern Railroad started in June 2013 and covers 670 miles of former DME/CP trackage between Tracy, MN and Rapid City, SD; with extensions to Colony, WY, and Crawford, NE. Main shipments are: grain, bentonite clay, ethanol, and fertilizer. RCPE is a Genesee & Wyoming Inc. (G&W) owned shortline.
