The Puget Sound & Pacific (PSAP)
primarily serves the logging and lumber industry east of Hoquium/Aberdeen,
WA, and the grain export facilities at the Port of Grays Harbor. PSAP interchanges
with BNSF and UP at Centralia, WA, and operates a spur NE of their headquarters
at Elma to Simpson Timber at Sheldon, WA. PSAP operates on about 80 miles
of track formerly served by the Northern Pacific Railroad. They were acquired
by Rail America in October 2002, and again sold to Genesse & Wyoming
in 2012. PSAP iss a featured story in the Oct 2019 TRAINS magazine.
