The Grant Historical Society, Docents of the Grant Historical House (aka the Benson House or the 1916 House), located at 5795 US Highway#1 in Grant Florida, which has restored this Historic Home, now has a new project. They are in the process of restoring the Grant Train Depot, located just South of the Grant Historical House. The restoration will include Interior Cleanup, Painting the outside of the Train Depot and some work to the floor and roof. Once these projects are completed, they will be allowing the Brevard County Model Railroaders Club to build train layouts and displays in the building. To make this happen, we need your help, donations are being accepted (in both money and railroad-related items) and volunteers are needed to assist in these tasks. We are having our first Cleanup-Day on Saturday, April 19th (9am to noon) at the Grant Train Depot, You are welcome to come by to help us, Join the Model Railroad club or see the Grant Train Depot for yourself.
