Amtrak's former Santa Fe station at Raton. Raton is the stop that is used by Boy Scouts to get to the
Philmont Scout Ranch located not too far from here in nearby Cimmaron, NM.

Riding through the Santa Fe National Forest, still paralleling Interstate 25 north of Glorieta Pass.
 
Going over Glorieta Pass, it looks like the soil here has a very high iron content due to the reddish color.
