Built by Pullman in 1923 for the Pennsylvania Railroad as a Combine Baggage-Library Car and named "Maple Shade". The 81ft car weighed 80 tons and had a 4 Section, 12 Seat Lounge, Barber Shop, and a 28ft Baggage Area. It operated on famous Pennsylvania trains including the "Broadway Limited" and the "Spirit Of St. Louis" for 11 years. After service with several railroads, it was purchased by the Washington, DC Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society and has been totally renovated by the Chapter.
