Built by American Car & Foundry in 1955 for the Union Pacific Railroad and numbered 9003. The car seated 24 in low-backed divans in the dome. On the main level, a card room at the head of the car seated 5. There was room for 9 in a cocktail lounge which also had a bar, beneath the dome. Seating capacity in the observation lounge was 19. Just 1 year after this car went into service, all 15 observation cars of this type were reconfigured for mid-train service. In 1992, the current owner purchased and rebuilt the car which accomodates 14 for dining and entertaining in the dome. Historical Information about this car provided by AAPRCO. |
