Built by Pullman-Standard in 1954 as a 72 seat coach for the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad's train "The Texas Special" and numbered 1202-R. This car was the first all-stainless steel passeger car built by Pullman-Standard. The car later ran on the Northern Pacific Railway and was numbered 527. Briefly operated under the Burlington Northern Rairoad and numbered 527 before being conveyed to Amtrak in 1971. Under Amtrak owership, it was renumbered 7200. The car would be sold by Amtrak in 1983 to Bob Willetts who purchased the car for scrap value. A total renovation was undertaken and the car would be used on charter runs starting in 1989. Amtrak used the car for its New York-Pittsburgh experimental luxury daytime Keystone Classic Club Service. The car is now owned/operated by Southwest Florida Railcar LLC and is still maintained by Bob Willetts in his shop at Spencer Yards. Historical Information about this car provided by AAPRCO, amtrakbythenumbers.com, and Movie-Trains.com.
