This locomotive is one of the first locomotives to operate on the CP&LE back in 1963. Built in 1910, it was sold to Sutton Junk & Salvage in New Iberia, LA in 1959. In 1960, it was sold to Arthur E. LaSalle of the American Railroad Equipment Association. It was then leased to the Cherokee Wonderland in Cherokee, NC as a passenger locomotive for a scenic railroad. In 1963, it was sold to Cedar Point and would operate on the CP&LE until 1991. In 2000, it was placed on display on the Frontier Trail next to a passenger station platform called "Cedar Junction" where it sits on display today. |
