Algoma Central Railway Equipment Guide - Passenger Roster

ACR LogoPassenger Car Roster

The information on this page is as complete as possible based on available information. There is quite a bit unknown about the ACR's early wooden passenger equipment however. Some car numbers and names have been reused over the years. A colon and number following the car number indicates first and second usage of the number.

Notes:

* Some other rosters and car histories lists these numbers but there's no evidence these two cars were actually ever renumbered and put into revenue service on the ACR. Some sources have them acquired mainly for parts and stored before conversion to OCS bunk cars.

** Photos exist on Ted Ellis' site of these two cars at Steelton shops in full VIA paint with the logos marked out and renumbered AC. However, these two ex-VIA cars don't appear on any other AC roster listing. These two cars probably acquired for parts and never put into service.
