Driving down the road I spotted this "object" on 8/14/2003. It appeared as a sphere that changed color to closely match it's background and hovered in what appeared to be one spot without means of propulsion. It appeared to stay in place for 15-20 minutes or so as I attempted to drive to it. As I was entering Mount Vernon, MO it dissappeared from site just seconds after the third picture was snapped. I first spotted it at Billings, MO while taking the picture of the dust collector in the first picture. I wouldn't have seen it at all if I hadn't been looking so closely at the dust collector for one I am modeling. The object is clearer if you click on it as it becomes full sixe 640X480. I Wish I had a film camera with me that day.
