After the wood posts are on you can choose to glue a cup washer on the LED with CA gel. The posts/lamps can then be painted and weathered to suit. They can then be inserted in the layout and powered from underneath. Most white LEDs are 3.3 volt 20 ma therefore you will need a resistor to power them from most power packs. Use one (1) resistor per light in series! Some recommended voltage v. resistor values is 5 to 6 volts use a 220 ohm resistor. 9 to 12 volt use a 480 ohm resistor. I recommend DC, but AC can be used but will likely shorten the life of the LEDs.
