The K&S tube is 12" long. I cut it in 1/2 or 1/3 for the posts by rolling it under a knife on your table and then snapping it off. Deburr the opening with a 1/16 drill bit powered with your fingers. The LED will have a short and long lead and the short is the negative. Bend them as shown in the picture and then solder the negative lead to the post. Now you have to decide if you want a metal post or wood post. If you want metal you now solder a 1/2 by 1/2 piece of 1/32 brass with a 1/16 hole in the center to the post at ground level.
