Appendix D - 1998 Signs

Purpose: This page documents some of the signs we used during the 1998 Lycoming County Fair.

This Signs Page consists of the the following signs:

  • Donations Sign
  • Donations Sign For Top Of Jar
  • Meeting Date Sign
  • Speeder Sign
  • Open Please Step In Sign
  • O Gauge / S Gauge Sign
  • Sponsor Thank You Sign
  • Visit Our Web Sign
  • 'Wanted-Members' Sign
  • Weigh Station Sign

Donations Sign--We hung 3 copies of this sign from the roof, directly above the layout. We hung a 4th copy at the entrance to the trailer.

Jar Cover--We taped this sign on the lids of the 4 donations jars.

Meeting Date Sign--We hung this sign in the office, to give people an idea when our meetings were.
Note that several dates on the above meeting date sign changed since the time it was made.

Speeder Sign--The above NARCOA sign, we taped on on Steve Kepner's speeder that was on display. REASON: People seemed to have many questions about it.
((Note this sign was made by doing a screen capture of the NARCOA home page.))

Open Sign--We put this 11x17 sign out in front of the entrance of the trailer. REASON: People thought we were closed, when we were really open.

O Gauge/S Gauge Signs--We put these in front of the O & S gauge passenger cars we had sitting in the office. REASON: To give visitors a feel for the size of some other scales.

Sponsor Thank You Sign--We taped this 11x17 sign on the Exit door of the trailer. REASON: To try to give additional advertising support to our sponsors.

Visit Our Web Sign--We taped this sign to the Exit door of the trailer. REASON: To remind people they can find us on the internet.

'Wanted-Members' Sign--We hung this sign directly above the layout.

Weight Station Sign--This 11x17 sign we taped on the corner of the Weight Station, where people would see it after they exited the trailer. REASON: We wanted make people aware of it's history. ((Without a sign, it just looks like any old building.))
