Section C.1 -- Trailer Startup & Shutdown Procedures

Pre-Fair Procedures

1. Get 3 copies of Gate Schedule to Fair office.
2. Post "Free Model Train Display" signs in all restrooms.

Startup Procedures

1. POWER: Turn on all power switches in closet.
2. JARS: Perform initial conditions cofiguration on 3 jars.
3. SIGN: Put plastic "Open, Please Step Inside" sign outside.
4. FLASHING LIGHTS: When it gets DARK -- hook up flashing lights. Wrap controller in plastic bag, attach to chain link fence with a plastic bag.

Shutdown Procedures

1. FLASHING LIGHTS: Turn off flashing lights. [[??Bring controller back inside.]]
2. SIGN: Bring plastic "Open, Please Step Inside" sign inside.
3. DOORS: Lock all doors.
   
   
4. JARS: Empty donation jars. Tabulate money for each jar separately:
   * Entrance jar
   * Middle jar
   * Exit jar in office
   * Double check the total adds up to the above 3 subtotals.
   
   
5. TABULATION: Mark amounts on "Donation" sheet on bulletin board.
   * Total amunt in jars
   * Any amount left behind in trailer.
   * Amuont remaining removed from trailer
   * Person who has the remaining cash.
   * All persons present, sign the yellow "Cash Witnesses" sheet and leave it in the bottom drawer.
   * Telephone the activities chairman (if requested) with the 3 jar subtotals, total, amount removed from trailer, and who has it.
   
   
6. POWER: Turn off all power switches in closed, EXCEPT leave the lower left on on (office).

Section C.2 -- Fair Manpower Schedule

• MANPOWER: Need 2 men minimum, 4 preferred
• LAYOUT OPEN AND OPERATING TIMES:
  • Weekdays - Plan 3 pm - 4 pm earliest on weekdays.
  • Last Fri & last Sat - need open all day.

Section C.3 -- Fair GATE Schedule

• The GATE schedule is the same as the previous MANPOWER schedule, except it has additional names shown who may be in and out as available.
• (These names are shown below the red line (-----) with an asterisk in front, for example " *Kunst " or " * Lynch ".)
• 4 copies of this schedule were take to the fair office Thursday morning 7/16/98, to be given to the people at the gates, so WNB operators could park and enter fair without being charged.

On The Manpower Schedule

• Applegate/Koch - maybe can do last Fri & Sat in emergency
• Cupp - out of town thru Sun 7/19, maybe can do last Saturday in emergency
• Hiltz, Lenny
• Ingraham, Jay - will work w/Fred Cupp (non-member, Cupp's brother in law)
• Ingram - Sun 7/19 starting noon, committed to Antlers picnic
• Koch - maybe can do last Fri & Sat in emergency
• Marshall, Kirk - busy work schedule, cannot do weekends
• Martino - Sat 7/25 Oriels game, cannot work. Best nights Fri, Sat; others possible.
• Martz, Bill [office only] - going out of town; only possibilities are Fri/Sat 17/18. (Needs to watch hours due to heart condtion)
• Ranck, Vernon [office only] - retired, flexible on schedule
• Schmohl, Larry - can do any 2 nights, not back to back; can do both Saturdays.
• Soars - 12 hr/day work schedule

Not On Manpower Schedule, cannot commit specific days, but expected or possible

• Kunst, Roy - wife had baby
• Lynch, Kevin - busy work schedule, will help 2nd week if can

Section C.6 -- Pre-Fair Issues

• Admission To Fair - How much will people operating the trailer have to pay to get to the trailer?
  Steve Kepner checking this.
• Parking -- Apparently we have to pay parking same as anyone else. Steve Kepner says in past years, some of the older workers have been allowed to park near the trailer without being charges, but this is nothing official and not guaranteed.
• UPDATE at meeting 7/13/98: Admission & Parking: per Steve Kepner, give copy of GATE schedule to fair operators; WNB operators will be admitted for parking and admission at no cost if their names are on this schedule.
