There are not too many pictures to document this ride. But I
think the ones I did take, tell the whole story. Our power for the night
was ex-ACR 2004. So she had seen many nights like this one up in the great
Northland. Our first picture is of T044 crossing Arcadian Ave. in Waukesha
at 18:45. T044's power was 6627 and 6605. This was the best I could do with
no tripod and the rocky motion of the loco slowly rolling down the tie up
track.
Our first stop of the night was to head down the Amron line.
We had some work to do at Magnatek (now I think they are called Waukesha
Electric), and we had to pull some cars from Holsome Foods. It was snowing
so hard and fast that we had to carry a Section man to help clear switches.
He was equiped with a leaf blower, which seemed to do a pretty good job.
More blowin'. Our section man got to leave at midnight, but we
could have used him through the whole trip.
We are looking back at Magnatek. We ended up pulling that tank
and the transformer.
Like I said, I don't have many pictures from this ride. Other
work that night included: trying to deliver a tank to Cooper Power, but
a switch was frozen so we couldn't proceed; one car for Quad in Duplainville;
and lots of work at Quad in Sussex. After finishing our work there, we headed
home, tying up around 0530.
