WCTU GE 70-tonner #5119 is ex-Southern Pacific, where it carried the same road
number. It was retired by the SP and sold to General Electric in February 1968.
It was held for resale by GE at their Oakland, CA, shop, and resold to the White
City Terminal & Utility Co.
The WCTU had previously acquired SP's 70-ton GE #5117 in November 1966. It is
still on the property as of October 2001, reported to have been parked in the
enginehouse the day Tom took these photos.
Newest addition on the WCTU is EMD SW1200 #82, equipped with optional Flexicoil
trucks. Tom reports that the unit was received in White City in April or May of
2001, but has not seen service.
