I'm a railfan from Northern California specializing in UP/AMTK/BNSF railroads as well as shortlines.
I'm
20 years old, live near two active daily operating railroads, and am
usually found on some nights railfanning the depot in Davis. I also
railfan Sacramento Valley Depot, and volunteer at the California State
Railroad Museum.
While I am not the best photographer in the community, I'm very sociable and manageable when it comes to railfanning.
Along with railroad phototgraphy, I am also into shooting airplanes/jetplanes, buses, traction and seafaring vessels.
I also do landscape photography on occasion.
Basically, whatever I feel like at the moment, if I wanna shoot it, I will.
I
have a General Electric 10.1 megapixel C1033 with Aspheric Zoom Lens.
Not the best camera out there, but it gets the job done, mostly. Takes
a few shots to get the perfect picture, but I'm getting better as I
practice.
I've ridden closer to 2500 miles on rail passenger service, and about 300 miles in excursion service.
It
is my goal to become a locomotive engineer on whatever railroad will
hire me. I am hoping that with my experience in the California
Conservation Corps, and my future experience with the California State
Railroad Museum will boost my career.
Well, I hope that you enjoy my site, and I will add more railfanning stories and photoessays later.
