I guess traveling last week took more out of me than I thought. Didn't get much of anything accomplished over the weekend, although the intention was there. Called Harbor Freight to check on the table sawm only to find out that it was back ordered until Jan 2006. I promptly cancelled the order. Seems like HF never seems to have anything in stock when I order it.
Don't get off work til 1900 tonight, and I have to be right back
in at 0500 so I seriously doubt that I get anything done after work this
evening. Perhaps a third coal load, but thats about as industrious
as I see myself getting. Need to get to WalMart soon and get some
replacement tubes for the flourescents in The Shop. I have three
of them burnt out over the last week. Of course they have been on
for the better part of a year so I really can't complain.

Didn't even get that industrious last night. Not a darn
thing accomplished! Perhaps today will be a better day.

I would really like to run some yard operations this weekend.
Nothing terribly involved, just some switching to determine how the yard
dynamics at Port Lavender works out. Build up a coal train of empties
and run it out of the yard. Two sessions, one constucting the train
then another to break it down afterwards would be ideal I think.
This would involve the switching of the coal loadout track and the interchange.
Weather looks promising for this weekend as well. Perhaps a little
train running will give me some enthusiasm to work on other projects.

Ballasted in the interchange track last night, and sat out some rolling stock to reaffirm yard capacities at Port Lavender. The storage tracks can accomodate 5 cars each while the run arounds can support 6. Got all the updates posted to the webpage, and I am now working on an open ended treatise on developing an operating pattern for the layout.

Started to run trains today, but becuase of derailments ended
up working on the track instead. Minor repairs to the enginehouse
lead turn out, but major surgery to fix a frog point and some guard rails
on the three way. With that all back together, once agin tried to
run trains only to discover that due tothe sharp radi of Summit Curve and
the grade beyond, that trains will be limited to 4 car lengths plus a cabin
to keep them from daisy chaining. Its always something
