Didn’t get much done on the hopper yesterday, just cleaned up a few castings. I’ll get the rest of them finished and applied sometime today and get it painted then I can call #45 done!
Prolly the next priority project would be the logging interchange and the wood chemical spur. Can get those done relatively easy and get them on the ground tomorrow. I want to go out on a rockhunt tomorrow and get a little work done with the pond kit. Not to mention setting out the rolling stock for a bit of operations!
I’ve been thinking about how things miht go eventually with a new yard and a a2nd combine. I can run a Miners Accomodation, basically a coal drag with a combine for a cabin Cassville to the Collery as the first train. Train No1, the morning mail will run through to Anns Creek with the new combine and a freightcar perhaps for help in braking and to help manage the workload. Train No1 can then turn an return to Cassville as train No2 trying to stay ahead of the coal drags.
An extra coal drag will run each day, noonish, and work as an out and back turn, servicing all industries and doing all the switching that needs to be done by it. An Afternoon Mail Train #3/#4 can work through as well taking a bit of slack here and there. All the while Extra Coal Drags are filtering between the barge loadout and the colleries

Didn’t get to do a whole lot directly Railroad related today, but I did get a few things accomplished. Brought in a truckload of rocksand began rocking up the pond. Its starting to look very nice, I just need to get some larger diameter hose to run from the pump to the waterfall. TheGFI outlet that I had planned on using has apparently burned up and will have to be replaced. Need to work out some kinda 12 v lighting for the pond at night as well.
Tomorrow evening I’m going to plant the lumber interchange track. Made out a switchlist running a whole session with just one locomotive operating as an Extra Turn. Need to time myself and see how long it takes in 1:12 time.
Outshopped another wooden hopper last night and added it to the rolling stock rotation. Got two more on the bench to be assembled. I don’t know if I’m going to cutthe wood for any more of them or not. I think once the Main Yard is done I’m going to need a few more flats, need to make up some lumber loads for them too.

Got the pond finished yesterday evening, still have to replace the GFI outlet. Hope I left enough space for the Barge Yard, gonna try to get the logging interchange installed as well. I really ought to get the Turntable built and installed at Anns Creek as well. So many projects, so little time.

Not only is the pond completely finished now, I built
and installed a pergola across the front sidewalk. Also changed out
the GFI that fees the pond, just need to develop a lighting source for
it.
