Made a supply run yesterday to get some assorted odds and ends for car construction. I think I have stuff to build one more type 7 steel car and launch into some drop bottom gondolas. Plotting a resupply order with Hobbylinc later in the week when I see for sure what I'm going to need. Some more Ho100 ton trucks as well as some On30 ones are definately needed.
The 2-6-6-2 using the challenger mechanism is a no go. The chasis is by far too large to bende around the current layout curves. Perhaps someday. for now I'm going to look into a Mantua 2-6-6-2 logger or a Bachmann 2-6-6-2 for inspiration. The Mantua one will prolly be more likely to be usable on the Tug Fork Division. Will do some reviewing of what others have done to see what I might get awau with.

I beleive that I have made the last order for O
scale construction materials yesterday. I hope to have 15 hoppers
and the turntables in service, as well as 2-8-2 No11 before con cluding
the the O scale season. I should have an operational layout at that
point that will be good for getting my train fix while I rebuild the outdoor
line.
I plan on raising the layout to about knee height
at least from Anns Creek to the staging yard adjacent to The Shop.
I think that I will start at the grade from Anns Creek up to Cassville
reducung the grade si that long trains can be pulled instead of pushed
around Summit Curve. The track from Summit on to Cassville will remain
at ground level.
