PREFACE

Greetings visitors!

I hope you find this site an educational, enjoyable, and memorable experience. That's what I aimed for when this site was built. It's what I first experienced myself as a boy, when I first got "the train bug" and laid eyes on the GB&W. I was thirteen and it was 1971. A lot has happened, to me and the railroad. Happily I'm still here; sadly the Green Bay and Western is not.

Look around the site. To those who remember, or worked there, enjoy the trip back. To those too young, or who never saw the line, this is your chance to experience a little bit of the GB&W.

A Message from the new webmaster........

I want to first of all thank Jim for all of his hard work I wish he could of continued his hard work on this web site, but I will help to keep it going on my web space.

I never grew up along the GBW but I have heard many stories from a great friend of mine who grew up in Black Creak, Wisconsin.  I may never truly be able to understand the GBW like My friend dose, but it must be like my strong memories of The Milwaukee Road.  Now I am proud to host these pages on my web site and I will do my best to keep the tradition alive.
