Cincinnati Transit used a variety of vehicles in the 1930's through the '50s. There were the street cars that were later replaced with sleek PCC cars, trolley buses, diesel buses and even a subway was started but never completed.
Due to the steep hills around the city there were several locations where incline tracks like shown in the photos below. All of the street cars were replaced by diesel buses except for a few trolley bus routes by the early '50s on both Cincinnati Transit and The Dixie Traction Co. routes.
