Trains Serving the Pacific Northwest - Information


Currently, Amtrak operates five trains within Washington State.

Two trains are long distance trains, and eight are local Corridor-only trains.

The Long Distance Trains are the following: All are Superliner Equipped

The Coast Starlight, Amtrak's Premier Train travels between Seattle and Los Angeles, with through coaches to San Diego with daily service. The Empire Builder, travels via the Northern Plains of the United States between Seattle/Portland and Chicago with daily service.

The local Corridor-only trains are the following: All operate daily.

Trains 760 and 761, travels between Seattle and Vancouver, BC with splendid views of Puget Sound with Superliner equipment. Trains 750, 751, 752, 753, 754 and 755, travels between Seattle and Portland/Eugene, OR, with Spanish-built Talgo equipment.
