CO
The Little Cottonwood Transportation CO came into being in 1917. It leased out the old W&JV, now D&RGW, ROW from Wasatch to Alta and laid 8 1/2 miles of narrow gauge track. They operated Shays on this steep line, grades up to 5.5%. It lasted until around 1925 due to the decline of ore in the Alta area.
