Notes: In 2007, Colorado Railcar built track geometry car DOTX 220 for the Federal Railroad Administration. The car is based on the DMU/trailer platform, and differs from other cars built by CRM before or since. Most noteably, this is the first car built with the smaller roofline windows. It also features a full light package (headlight and ditch lights) on the B-end, though it doesn't have a control cab.

DOTX 220 is equipped with a full suite of track geometry measurement and mapping systems, allowing it to take real time track geomertry, laser-measured gauge, profile and ride quality measurements and record the data in its own systems at extremely high speeds. For more information about the car's interior equipment, download the FRA's fact sheet for the car from its Automated Track Inspection Program (ATIP) site.

The car has crew seating for up to 20 - 16 in the inspection gallery at the B-end and 4 in a technicians' station at mid-car. It is also equipped with a small galley, ample storage, and an ADA-compliant restroom.
