With the exception of the early Rondout
& Oswego locomotives, the Ulster & Delaware Railroad owned a
total of three locomotives of the 2-6-0 wheel arrangement, commonly
known as a "Mogul." Seeming to have little success with them, the
first, numbered 8, only lasted five years. The next two were
slightly more successful and lasted up until being replaced by the
bigger ten wheelers in 1907. |
