Edgware Station Northern Line

Edgware Station Northern Line

Edgware Station Northern Line. Built during the extension of the London underground system during the 1930s the line was originally intended to continue north to Bushey. In anticipation of this a depot was built at Aldenham. Unfortunately World War 2 disrupted these plans and construction was suspended whilst the depot became an aircraft factory. After the cessation of hostilities the extension was abandoned and Aldenham became a bus overhaul works. It featured in the film "Summer Holiday".
