The Bear Creek Trestle

Two photo's of the old bridge over Bear Creek east of Altura, Minnesota on the Winona line, now abandoned. The last trip over the bridge with a train was in October 1933 with Conductor C. A. Smith. The Bridge was torn down in June of 1934. The photos are from page six of the November 1958 issue of the Safety News (nos. 11 & 12). The photo's are accredited to I. W. Hart, of Rochester, Minnesota.
