During this time, the Lee Loco Hostler has moved the new motive power, T&S #1663, a GP7, to a position where the new crew can board and, when all the other traffic has cleared, the unit moves down the passing siding to turnout #1. After proceeding through the switch, #1663 backs slowly down the passenger platforms until it gently couples with its train.
