As you approach Glen, the Glen switcher has prepared for the pick up move.  The four cars you are to pick up are on the passing siding when you come to a halt.  You signal your engineer while your brakeman is walking forward to uncouple the train behind the last car in front of the caboose.  When both you and your engineer get the radio signal from the brakeman, the locos pull forward slowly and move north past turnout # 72.  The brakeman awaits the movement of TS 1505;  when the Glen switcher clears turnout #76 it is realigned and gently couples onto your caboose.  Backing through #76, the switch is realigned and the 1505 moves forward to pick up the cut of cars.  After coupling and setting the air the Glen switcher backs through switch #76.  The brakeman realigns the switch and the Glen switcher moves forward and couples onto your train.  Your brakeman hooks up the coupler and air hoses while your engineer conducts the air test.  Meanwhile 1505 has uncoupled from your caboose and has moved effortlessly southward.
PICKUP AT GLEN
Immediately the local switcher springs into action, moves forward to couple onto your caboose and backs down the main.  Working efficiently, the switcher soon has the pickups placed on the end of your train and replaces your caboose.
