Stock with inter-car barrier at Whitechapel. The barriers are made of black canvas
mounted on spring-loaded carriers hung off 'blisters" at the corners of the
cars. They are a niuisance to maintain but now that people have to be protected from
themselves, such expensive and ugly precautions have to be provided.
