View of universal automatic coupler on a double-ended A Stock driving motor car at Aldgate showing the main parts.  The air holes are visible under the tongue and throat.  Note also that this car has the "blisters" on the corners of the cab front so that the car can be used in the middle of an 8-car train formation.  The blisters support the inter car barriers now being provided between LU cars.
