Trolley Postcards: Mid-Atlantic States

Actually, if this view is early enough these might be cable cars—unfortunately there is no date on the card. According to scripophily.com's New York Bank history site, National Shoe and Leather (ultimately a predecessor of Chase Manhattan) operated under variants of this name from 1852 to 1906. Cable cars in Manhattan were replaced with conduit-collection electric cars between 1999 and 1901, so I'll I'm going to have to do a little research to settle this.
