The London and Lake Erie Railway's main source of freight was fresh Lake Erie fish. It was a modest revenue generator that never materialized into what the managers hoped. The locomotive in the picture has yet to be identified, but may either be #2 or the line's un-numbered box motor/line car. The line also, to my knowledge rostered 7 flat cars, several of which can be seen here. This image has also been found as a tinted postcard and can be viewed here. This image most likely was taken at the docks just to the south of the station in Port Stanley.
