November 22, 1883 - A meeting was held at Athens for the organization of the Brockville, Westport and Northern Railway Company.
March 4, 1888 - The first train was run over the line of the Brockville and Westport Railway. Now the BW&SSM.
January 20,1903 - The Brockville, Westport and Sault St Marie Railway was sold at auction in Brockville to a New York syndicate for the sum of $160,000.
July 14,1910 - The Brockville and Westport Railway was purchased by the Canadian Northern Railway.
1923 - Became the Canadian National.
August 30,1952 - Canadian National abandons the B&W branch, last train.
