In October 1994, a private excursion operator ran a special train from
Ft. Worth to Presidio, Texas. Billed as the South Orient Express,
the train continued from Presidio into Mexico and through the
famed Copper Canyon. F7 200, which formerly operated on a
tourist train between Houston and Galveston, led the train at San
Angelo's depot on October 6, 1994.
