Near BNSF's East Tower interlocking in Amarillo, TX, large grain elevators tower above the
Texas panhandle prairie. Owned and operated by DeBruce Grain, Inc., these elevators handle
wheat, corn, and milo, and receive a constant stream of railcars for loading and unloading.
DeBruce has two switching locomotives stationed at these elevators: a silver Alco S6 (with
no number or identifying marks other than the letters "MAC" on a small number board on
the hood) and an ex-Kiamichi / Texas North Orient GP9, # 908. These photos were taken on
August 13 and 14, 2000.
