Texas Railroad Sesquicentennial - Sesquicentennial
Sunday - Texas Panhandle

The BNSF Dalhart Subdivision dispatcher's CTWC (computerized Track Warrant Control) screen as it appeared on the afternoon of September 7, 2003. Green bars represent the current limits of track warrant authority for each train. Notice that all of the trains are westbounds... BNSF had implemented its new pattern of directional running between Amarillo and Pueblo earlier in the week. There are a few exceptions, but for the most part, westbounds operate via the former Ft. Worth & Denver and C & S via Dalhart and Trinidad, CO, while eastbounds operate via the La Junta, CO and Boise City, OK on the former Santa Fe.

Note also that one of the westbounds -- KCS 647 -- is the same train Len Kratz photographed at Guy, TX on the afternoon of the 7th. (See previous photo.)
